DescriptionThis season, we will continue our Intermediate Beekeeping School that was started in 2020. Originally planned to be in person, we decided to move these classes to Zoom in response to the pandemic. The Zoom platform works well for classes, in some respects better than a live meeting. We can bring in speakers from all over, there’s less distraction, it’s more comfortable for the presenter, and the recordings can be saved for future viewing. Participants don’t have to drive to the meeting on a weeknight.
Our first class on 3/2 (note that only the first 2 are a week apart) will be a welcome and cover Sustainable Beekeeping. Second class on 3/9 is Spring Management with Steve Repasky. We may mix things up a bit this year, have different speakers on similar topics. Here are the topics we have covered in the past:
Class dates are: 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 4/6, 4/20, 5/4, 5/18, 6/1, 6/15 (Q&A), 9/78, and 9/21. Wednesday nights, 7:00 PM. Classes will be recorded. Returning students from last year will pay $25 (inquire for a coupon code to use on checkout), new students $50. All students will need to be member of a local beekeeping association. |
