DescriptionFor 2023, we will continue our Intermediate Beekeeping School that was started in 2020. We will go with Zoom this year as well - the platform works well for classes, in some respects better than a live meeting. We can bring in speakers from all over, there’s less distraction, it’s more comfortable for the presenter, and the recordings can be saved for future viewing. And we can invite beekeepers from outside of our area.
Our first class on 3/1 will feature Erin Evans (we knew her as Erin Forbes) covering sustainability, beekeeper skills development, and management philosophies. We will mix things up a bit this year, have different speakers on similar topics. Here are the topics we have covered in the past:
Class dates are: 3/1, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 4/26, 5/10, 5/24, 6/7, 6/21 (Q&A), 9/6, and 9/20. Wednesday nights, 7:00 PM. Classes will be recorded. Returning students from last year will pay $25 (inquire for a coupon code to use on checkout), new students $50. All students will need to be member of a local beekeeping association. |
